The Rescue Committee is involved with all aspects of displaced mini pigs within and beyond the AMPA. The Rescue Committee will help build bridges through recruitment of rescues and sanctuaries. This committee will help re-home displaced pigs, find, screen prospective owners and work as a liaison between rescues, breeders, and owners. Pigs in need will have their own web space this committee will manage to promote, along with featured rescues, a pig in need of the week, fundraising efforts by recues and sanctuaries as well as educational events. The ultimate goal of the Rescue Committee is to help reduce the numbers of pigs in rescues with the educational support, improvement of breeding standards, and combined efforts between breeders and rescues of the AMPA.
